Welcome to my world

I am a wife, a mom, a daughter, a sister and a friend.
I've learned that who you have in your life matters more than what you have.
Thank you for stepping in to my world!

Kicking cancer's ass - day 1502

October 7 - While much progress has been made in breast cancer treatment and research, more work remains: Breast cancer remains the second-leading cause of cancer death after lung cancer. Overall, cancer deaths are the second most-common cause of death for U.S. women, after heart disease.

That's depressing, right?
I mean, both of my grandmothers died of breast cancer when I was a child.  And yet with all of the technology and medical advances, forty years later people are still dying of breast cancer!

Let's put a positive spin on that.  Over the last forty years, the survival rates for men and women have improved... by a lot.

Breast cancer is scary stuff.  It's harsh and it's sneaky and it's devastating.  But it doesn't have to be deadly.
