Welcome to my world

I am a wife, a mom, a daughter, a sister and a friend.
I've learned that who you have in your life matters more than what you have.
Thank you for stepping in to my world!

Kicking cancer's ass - day 591

This weekend K's softball team played in a tournament in Ballinger, TX (about 45 minutes away).  Our team was one of eleven or twelve in the tourney and we ended up in fourth place.  The girls fought so hard, winning four straight games after losing their first, only to come up short at the very end of their second game today.  They definitely left it all on the field and I'm so proud of them.

The Lady Diamonds aren't just about softball.  That team, the girls and their families are MY family.  We are so blessed to have such wonderful friends in our lives, and we enjoy hanging out on and off the field.  We shared a lot of laughs, some simple but tasty meals, good music, adult beverages at the campsite and some nailbiting moments during the games.

I'm happily exhausted and ready for the next one!

K started out the weekend staying at the campsite with her friend.

She played a new position and killed it all weekend at pitcher!
(Defense only, her age is still coach-pitch)

The whole team took over the local Pizza Hut for a lunch break in between games.

They played hard, winning three straight to end the day Saturday.

We had a blast unwinding with our friends after a long, busy day.

The Diamonds played so hard all weekend, and never gave up.

K even hit a home run!
I love this girl, and I love watching her play softball.
